SINUOS’s recruitment is based on the requirements of the business plan together with current operational demands. We use an efficient, non-discriminatory and systematic method of recruiting and selecting the right people to fill our vacant positions.
Current openings can be found and applied for on our WEBSITE page. You can also submit your CV to [email protected] if there are no jobs listed which suit your skills and experience.
In order to be considered for employment at SINUOS, applicants must meet all of the minimum position requirements related to education/training, certification and experience. Knowledge and abilities are assessed at different points in the selection process.
Technical skills are also evaluated to ensure that the applicant can perform the required tasks.
The selection interview is used primarily to gain additional information about the candidate regarding their education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities as well as assess the cultural fit. It provides an opportunity to the applicant to know more about the Company, his job, concerns, etc. In some cases, after carrying out initial interviews, shortlisted candidates may be advised of the details of the final interview and of any special requirements.
We always conduct reference checks to verify information gathered through the selection process about candidates’ experience, work performance, academic performance and professional characteristics (e.g. dependability, initiative). We take up references as we deem appropriate and reserve the right to check all qualifications.
If found suitable, HR Department prepares and issues the letter of appointment to the candidate. After the candidate accepts the offer, further proceedings are carried out towards satisfying the statutory requirements.
We conduct an induction program for all our new employees within their first week of employment. It is a combination of general information about the Company as well as specifics regarding the employee’s job role. An HR representative will give the new employee a tour of the site, head office and facilities, including introductions to key managers and colleagues as appropriate.
Employee’s capabilities, achievements, readiness for greater responsibilities and areas for improvement are monitored during SINUOS’s regular performance appraisal. SINUOS expects its employees to take the lead in their respective professional and personal development within an approved structure. The Company takes a supporting role in this by providing them financial and educational means (e.g. training, mentoring, counseling, etc.) upon the identification of a need during the regular performance appraisal. Both the direct supervisor and the employee can suggest the possible courses the latter can attend to.
We have a Further Education Policy which financially assists employees who wish to follow individual courses of study which are closely related to the employee’s current or potential future work assignment.
We recognize that our most important resource is our employees. Therefore, we train and develop our workforce so that they will gain the necessary skills to reach their full potential. By improving the skills and knowledge of our staff, we produce confident, highly qualified staff working as an effective and efficient team committed to continuous improvement and excellence.
From time to time, we require employees to attend specific training or instruction delivered by internal or external facilitators. This may be on the job or in a classroom.
We design and develop various schemes of career movements to motivate and retain high performers and allow them to use their maximum potential. While we strive to create better and bigger opportunities and challenges, it’s up to the employees to prepare themselves and take advantage of such opportunities. We, however, support pro-active employees in developing their competencies to shoulder higher responsibilities.
